World Book Day 2025
Our teachers dressed up as crayons from the book, 'The day the crayons quit!' We had so much fun finding them in the morning and seeing which colour they were.
Infants 3 have enjoyed so many book activities this week - den reading, author visit, illustrator practise, children reading to the group, parents reading...AMAZING costumes - well done everybody!

We have had a great book week and an amazing World Book Day packed full of activities! We came to school in fantastic outfits today and there was such a buzz in the classroom. In the morning we did an online workshop around the story, 'The Full Stop that got Away,' by Laura Baker and Nathan Reed where we got to have a go at becoming illustrators and drawing the main character. We also enjoyed a story time of, 'The day the crayons quit!' which was very funny because that's what our teachers were dressed as today! For English, we thought about our favourite stories and wrote about our favourite characters. We read a wide range of books. In the afternoon, author Amanda Boulding came to visit and told us all about how she came up with her story ideas and published her books. We had fun joining in with the story of Brody the sheep in, 'Brody's Great Adventure'. We also had a visit from Ralph's Mummy who looked amazing dressed up as Princess Peach and read a story to us which was lovely.
