Learning and loving on our journey with Jesus

WB 22nd June

What a week!

Despite the soaring temperatures, we have continued to work incredibly hard and have produced some fantastic work across the curriculum.

In English, we began planning our balanced arguments using evidence and examples from The Strange Case of Origami Yoda. To help us explore both sides of the debate, we took part in a debate corridor, where the children used persuasive arguments to convince one of the characters whether or not Origami Yoda could really read the future. It was wonderful to hear the thoughtful discussions and reasons the children used to support their opinions.

In Reading, we continued our class novel, Letters from the Lighthouse. The children have been developing their retrieval skills by answering questions using evidence directly from the text.

The highlight of the week was definitely cooling off by dipping our feet in the water!  Everyone thoroughly enjoyed it.

We are incredibly proud of all the children for their resilience, determination and positive attitudes despite the exceptionally hot weather. They have continued to work hard, stay focused and make us proud every day. Well done, everyone!
