Lovely start to the summer term. The children were ready to learn and worked very hard throughout the week.
In English, we began a new book, The Unforgotten Coat by Frank Cottrell-Boyce. The children wrote a diary entry in role as the main character, Chingis, as well as a fantastic recount of part of the story.
In Science, we started our new topic on light. The children really enjoyed exploring how light travels and investigating the trajectory of light beams, learning that light travels in straight lines.
In Maths, Year 6 began their geometry unit, focusing on angles and how to calculate them. They had great fun using protractors and developing their skills in measuring and drawing angles accurately.
In ICT, we introduced virtual reality, and the children loved creating their own virtual worlds.
