WB 18th May
A final week and the sun has come out in time for half term. UJ3 have practised their running again for Sports Day, and we are seeing a huge improvement in speed and stamina - well done everyone for your efforts.
In Science, we finished our topic of light and shadows by thinking about workplaces that use mirrors for reflection, including the police, dentists and hairdressers.
Many children created superb portraits on the theme of movement with emotion, using light touches with a pencil to create lots of circles and gradually build up a drawing in a different way.
We have been fortunate enough this week to have had three special afternoons. The children learnt about WaterAid from the charity itself, Year 6 had Wayne Dixon come and delve into Easter and the Scriptures, and on Wednesday we had a short Mass - Mary’s Liturgy - where some of our Year 5 children read beautifully.
It has been a long and busy half term, and I know the children will be glad of some rest and relaxation (and the parents!). Wishing you all a very happy holiday, and we will see everyone bright and bushy-tailed on Tuesday 2nd June. 🙂
