Lower Junior 2 have come back after the Easter break full of energy and ready to learn...
In English, we have been inspired by Frindleswylde and the children have begun writing their own imaginative sequels, titled Frindleswylde Returns. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading their creative ideas — we have some brilliant storytellers in the making.
In RE, we reflected on Holy Week, focusing on the events of Palm Sunday and Good Friday. The children created thoughtful artwork titled Two Crowds, Two Stories, exploring how different the crowds were on these two significant days.
Our new Science topic is Plants, and we have been learning about what plants need to grow. A special well done to those children who looked after our class sunflowers over the holidays — they came back happy and healthy!
In Geography, we have started learning about the Amazon (not the online shop!) and have been describing its unique landscapes. Meanwhile, in Reading, we have begun our new book Amazing Africa, discovering more about this diverse and fascinating continent.
Well done to all of Lower Junior 2 — a brilliant start to the summer term!
