Science
This week we learnt about the effects litter has on the ocean. We had collected various pieces of rubbish and talked about which ones could decompose in water and which ones can’t (some take over 100 years!). We made an ocean in a bottle and placed some rubbish inside. We will watch our bottles over the next week and observe what happens to the pieces of rubbish we chose.
Sports Day
We had a great day being very sporty. We completed long distance races, sprints, and obstacle course and a relay race! We all worked so hard and showed great sportsmanship. All of our teachers said how proud they were of us and we know our parents were too (we could hear the support in the crowd). Thank you to all of our parents for coming along to watch, we’re pleased you could join us.
Father’s Day
After sports day, we had a very special afternoon with our Daddies and other special men in our lives. We started with a scavenger hunt outside and did a great job finding many of the items. Next we came inside and had the challenge of building the tallest tower using just spaghetti and mini marshmallows! Our Daddies seemed to like this one and got quite competitive! The tallest tower was 74cm! Lastly we built dens using tables, chairs and blankets and relaxed inside reading by torch light. Thank you to all those that came, we loved spending time with you. We are very thankful to all of our Daddies and special men in our lives, for all the things you do for us and all the fun we share. We hope you have a lovely Father’s Day!
