We learnt about the sacrament of marriage and the roles people play. We then got into groups and acted out a marriage. We had a priest, a bride, a groom, a bridesmaid and a best man.
Science
This week in science, we learnt about life cycles. We spoke about different animals and how their offspring come to be. In pairs, we organised or drew lifecycles of a butterfly, a fish or a turtle. We then compared the life cycles and thought about the similarities and differences such as, all of the animals lay eggs but they lay them in different places . Butterflies lay their eggs on leaves, fish lay their eggs in the water and turtles lay their eggs in the sand.
PSHE
We listened to the story of, ‘The Good Samaritan,’ and how we should show kindness towards others. We learnt about community and how we can work together, treat others with respect and learn to live as one. We listened to a song about Jesus using our hands for good and tried hard to sing along.
