We have worked hard this week and enjoyed starting our new sci-fi class text 'Robot Girl' by Malory Blackman. We have used our inference skills to explore the main characters and practised using dialogue to write conversations between these characters. In Maths, year 6 have been learning about area and perimeter and using formulas to calculate the area of rectangles and triangles. Our Science topic this term is electricity and we began this topic by learning to recognise and use circuit symbols. Next week is Book Week and we look forward to learning some new vocabulary when the children come to school dressed up on Thursday.
