We are learning about minibeasts and microhabitats. Today, we headed out to the forest to make a wormery. We layered soil and sand then found some wiggly worms to put in it. We made sure they had some decaying leaves to eat whilst they're in there. We were very excited to make our wormery and we are looking forward to them mixing up the soil.

We thought about the saying, 'Walk a mile in someone else's shoes.' We swapped shoes to see if that's what it meant. It was a tight fit and not quite right. We then learnt that in fact, it means showing empathy towards others and trying to understand how they are feeling.
