Welcome to St. Mary’s Catholic Primary School, Maidenhead. Every child has the right to high quality teaching, enabling them to reach for and beyond their potential. Every child in our care will be encouraged to thrive ‘learning and loving on our journey with Jesus’.
We are proud of the fact that this is a Catholic school. We value and respect every person as an individual, always remembering that Christ is in everyone. The curriculum we offer to all of our pupils is broad, balanced and firmly rooted in Gospel values: Stewardship, Teamwork, Agape and Respect (STAR). In addition the school promotes the British values of democracy, liberty, tolerance and mutual respect through the school curriculum.
The school has high expectations of behaviour and attitudes. The hard working staff at the school strive to ensure that each child is appropriately challenged and excited to learn, so that they can achieve well and develop as well rounded individuals.
St Mary's Catholic Primary School has around 305 pupils between the ages of 4 and 11 years old and was founded in 1871. It is a mixed voluntary aided school located in Maidenhead, Berkshire.
St Mary's is the Parish School for St Joseph's Church, Maidenhead, serving children and their families across Maidenhead. The parish and the school enjoy close links and children sing in the choir, read and altar serve each Sunday. The parish contributes to the life of the school with Father Ephraim and Father Liam, as regular visitors.
The school is set in lovely grounds which include:
- A large playing field
- A large play area and climbing equipment
- An eco garden where we grow our own vegetables and fruit
- An outside classroom
