PSHE
We have been thinking about how our body reacts in different zones of regulation.
When we are sad:
"Our mouths go down".
"Tears come down from our eyes".
"Our head goes down".
When we are happy:
"Our face and mouths go up".
"We smile a lot".
"We might dance".
When we are silly:
"Our arms wave around".
"Our tongues go out".
"We might shake our heads".
When we are raging:
"We get mad, mad".
"We shake!"
"We put our fists out, our face goes read and our eyebrows go down".
Music
We started our new topic of contrasting dynamics. We vocally created a simple soundscape using dynamic changes. We thought about what noises would represent each picture and then performed it as a class before breaking into groups and creating new sounds. We had so much fun, especially with the alien noises.

The Big Active Festival (sporting event)
We attended the very first Key Stage 1, 'Big Active Festival'. There were so many activities such as, 'Moana archery,' 'Avengers Attack,' and, 'Kung-Fu Panda wrestling'. We worked hard all morning dodging balls, scoring goals, balancing bikes, hitting targets and stacking towers. It was very tiring but we had lots of fun and worked so well within our teams. Miss Lilley was especially proud of how we helped each other to achieve tasks that were a little bit tricky.
