VE Day
We took part in, 'Dress for Victory,' wearing red, white and blue to raise money for the Royal British Legion on VE Day.
We had a wonderful afternoon learning all about VE Day and producing fact files using information we had learnt.
Mr Gibson came into assembly to tell us about the his time as a Military Policeman, explaining his role and the importance of working towards peace. It was very interesting and afterwards he let us see some of his kit and answered lots of our questions.
To end the day, we enjoyed a street party on the playground amongst the bunting we had decorated earlier in the week. Spirits were high as we talked, laughed and shared snacks whilst listening to music from the 1940s. We even ended with an impromptu conga line!
