Lower Junior 2 have had a fantastic and productive week!
In English, the children completed their Frindlesewylde Returns stories, carefully editing and publishing them just like real authors—an achievement they are very proud of.
In Science, we have been investigating the functions of different parts of a plant and exploring what happens when plants do not receive enough water.
In RE, we have been learning about who the Pharisees were and how their views sometimes differed from those of Jesus.
Our Geography lessons focused on the layers of the rainforest, where we discovered which animals live in each layer and why. Linking to this topic in Music, the children worked collaboratively to create rain sounds using body percussion—great fun and very creative!
In Art, the children produced some wonderful collages in their sketchbooks, showing great imagination and care.
In PE, we continued developing our athletics skills and have been working hard to improve our cricket techniques.
It has been a fun-filled week, made even better by the beautiful sunshine!
