wb 27th April
Lower Junior 2 have had a fun and varied week of learning!
In English, we have continued reading the beautiful story The Cloud Tea Monkeys. The children especially enjoyed hearing from Mrs K, who shared her experience of tea picking within her culture, bringing our learning to life. Inspired by this, the children had a go at writing their own reports about tea from around the world.
In Maths, Year 4 have been learning about money, focusing on pounds and pence, while Year 3 have also begun their money topic, practising counting coins and building confidence with different values.
In Geography, we explored life for indigenous people in the Amazon rainforest, thinking carefully about how their daily lives compare to our own.
In Art, the children continued creating some wonderful collages, showing great creativity and attention to detail. Meanwhile, in Computing, the children used 3D design tools to recreate block images and even design their own iPhones!
It has truly been an engaging and exciting week across the curriculum- well done LJ2!
