wb 4th May
This week in Lower Junior 2, we packed lots of learning into a short but busy week following the bank holiday weekend!
In English, the children wrote informative reports about tea, learning how it is grown and harvested, inspired by our class book Cloud Tea Monkeys.
In Maths, both Year 3 and Year 4 continued developing their understanding of money, using addition and subtraction to solve problems and calculate amounts.
In RE, we explored the story of the Road to Emmaus, expressing our understanding through artwork and thoughtful diary entries written from the perspective of the two disciples who met Jesus.
In Geography, we learnt about the positive aspects of the Amazon Rainforest, including the valuable minerals and medicines that can be sourced from it.
In Computing, the children continued their 3D design unit, creating tables, chairs and their own imaginative furniture designs.
During Reading lessons, we practiced retrieving information from texts and used our findings to create posters all about Africa.
A fantastic week of learning all round!
