Learning and loving on our journey with Jesus

w/c 10.3.25

R.E

We learnt about the Bible verse, ‘Let the little children come.’ Matthew 19:14. We used percussion instruments to play along to a song we learnt.

Science Week

This week is Science week. We had a special lesson where we made rocket mice! We made a prediction about which mouse we thought would travel the furthest or which bottle we thought would have the most power. We then tested the bottles and mice to see if we were right. We had so much fun and some surprising results!

We were also very excited to have a space dome in the hall. Once inside, we watched a film about NASA’s Apollo 11 mission and the space landing in July of 1969. It took a lot of work and testing to finally get humans to the moon. The first astronaut to step on the moon was Neil Armstrong who said, “That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind”. We also watched a film about the Artemis mission which is NASA’s next plans to land on the moon. Maybe this is something we will get to witness ourselves in the next few years!

Ducklings

Today one of the ducklings visited our classroom. We were shocked to see how much bigger they were compared to last week. We talked about the big tail feathers that are coming in, how much bigger their feet are and how cute it was that they were now able to flap their wings. They are growing so fast and we have loved experiencing this growth.

We have done a great job learning our hymn this week. Here we are singing together in our Key Stage assembly.
