Learning and loving on our journey with Jesus

wb 25th Nov

This week has been assessment week for the children, so they have been working really hard on all their learning!

Alongside English and Maths assessments, we have still produced some excellent learning. the Year 3 children also took part in a Lantern Making Workshop - ready for the Norden Farm Light Parade!

We managed to finish writing our own Iron Man stories in-between and finished the week off watching the movie adaptation - The Iron Giant - to create a comparison.

In R.E, we have been looking at the Visitation - when Mary visited her cousin Elizabeth, who had also been blessed with a baby. It allowed the children to look in-depth at why we say the 'Hail Mary', how blessed Mary was at this time and how she had such a responsibility! The children wrote a letter back to Joseph to explain what was happening.

In Geography, we were researching and using an atlas to locate different rivers in each continent around the world. The children were able to extend their knowledge of the world around us.

In Science, we were classifying different birds and looking at the features that would help us recognise them in the wild.
