Week beginning 24th March
We have really enjoyed finishing our sci-fi narratives this week and many of us feel it is our best work yet! We will publish and illustrate these stories next week. A huge amount of work has gone into this story writing including planning, drafting, proof reading, self and peer editing and finally publishing.
In maths year 6 have begun their topic on shape by studying angles around a point and in a triangle.
On Tuesday we completed a field study as part of our 'Why oceans matter' topic to examine the impact of rubbish in a local water area. We completed a tally chart of what rubbish we could see and discussed the impact that rubbish could have on the local environment. The children were surprised by the array of different rubbish thrown into the river bank.
In science we built circuits using electrical equipment and investigated how to change the brightness of the bulbs.
Out DT playground projects have been completed and we are incredibly proud of the creativity shown.
