Reindeers
Today we had the best treat! Reindeers came to St Mary’s and we had a wonderful time getting to learn all about them. We learnt why they are different colours, what they use their antlers for, what they like to eat and even why they have little tails. They were so cute and we asked lots of questions to further our understanding. We’re so pleased we managed to see them before they start their busiest time of year helping Father Christmas in a couple of weeks time!
English
After our visit to see the reindeer, we thought carefully about ways of describing them seeing as we have recently been learning about adjectives in class. We described what they look like, what they do and how they feel.
Music
We learnt a song about snail and mouse, working hard to keep to the different tempos. We then worked as a group to first sing along at the correct speed and then, to accompany our song by playing percussion instruments in time.
