Three computing workshop
We had great fun with a special workshop run by Three. We learnt how to make posters using ipads. First, we took pictures of each other before changing backgrounds, adding our names and applying emojis to represent the things we like. We enjoyed looking at each other's profiles and sharing our likes.
Maths
This week we have been looking at numbers past 10. We worked on recognising that teen numbers are made of 1 ten and some extra ones. We used bead strings to represent numbers 13, 14 and 15. We also played a fun matching game to find our partners based on a number of objects and numbers written in words.
Art
This term our topic is, 'Map it out'. We looked at ways artists have represented maps in different ways using food, shapes, handprints and more. We thought about a familiar journey and what we see when we go on it such as trees, shops, parks etc. Using oil pastels and chalks, we mapped out our familiar journey, making it bright and colourful.
Computing
This term we are looking at digital art and design. We used our honed in mouse skills to click and drag different colours and textures in order to design animal shelters. It was lots of fun and we have some budding designers in our midst!
