English
We played a capital letter matching game. We worked hard as a team to match up the lowercase and capital letters. Can you remember to use a capital letter correctly in your writing?
We wrote letters to Santa containing our present list and, once sealed in an envelope, popped to the postbox to send them off. Some of us even sent them on their way with a little kiss! We hope Father Christmas gets our letters soon and maybe even replies!
Maths
We explored 2D shapes and worked together to sort them according to different properties. We then made pictures using different shapes and labelled the ones we’d used.
R.E
We learnt about prophets. God uses them to spread his messages to his people. We pretended we were prophets and wrote down a message from God on how to prepare for the coming of someone very special. We then moved around the room, reading and sharing our message with our friends.
Science
This week we spoke about how the hours of daylight change according to each season. We moved around the room to research and collect data on how many hours of daylight each season has. We then discussed our data before recording it onto a pictogram. We discovered that summer has approximately 16 hours of daylight whereas winter only has about 8!
