Learning and loving on our journey with Jesus

w/c 17.3.25

Maths Whizz Champions!

This is our third time winning the trophy and we are very proud. We are doing a great job with our Maths Whizz work at home!

Keep it up Infants 2, you are all fantastic!

P.E

We have moved on to counter balancing. Today, we worked in pairs to counter balance each others’ weight. This wasn’t too tricky sitting down (as we got the measure of our partner whilst doing different movements) but, it was harder when standing up to pull back and counter balance someone else’s body.

R.E

On Palm Sunday, Jesus entered Jerusalem and rode through the city on a donkey. The crowds praised him with words of encouragement because they believed he was the King of Kings. We thought about what the people in the crowds might have said and wrote our own words of encouragement to Jesus on palm leaves.

Science

We thought about growth in humans and whether it is linked to age. We thought about the question, ‘Is someone older than me always taller than me?’ As a class we were split in terms of our predictions. Some of us thought that yes, if someone is older they are always taller because they have had more time to grow. Some of us disagreed and thought it was not linked to age, we all grow at different rates. We conducted an experiment to find out who was right. We lined up in age order and compared our heights. We found that age does not always make a difference because some of us are 5 but taller than people older than us. Some of us are 7 but shorter than people younger than us.
