What a fantastic first week back it’s been in LJ2!
In English, we’ve begun our exciting new topic on The BFG. The pupils have been thoroughly engaged with the story, especially Roald Dahl’s wonderfully comedic language. We’re already looking forward to learning more about this wonderful author during our trip to the museum next Thursday.
In Science, we’ve started our new unit on rocks, exploring different rock types and learning how to name and classify them.
In History, the children discovered just how far back the Stone Age began—using toilet roll to represent the vast timeline of prehistory.
In RE, we created vibrant posters about Advent and explored how Jesus’ coming was foretold through prophecy.
During Computing, we stepped into the world of digital art, learning how to create images using digital tools.
And in PE, we kicked off our new units on dance and tag rugby, having great fun developing our passing skills and learning how to use tags for game play later in the unit.
Well done on a brilliant start to the term, LJ2!
