We have been working really hard on creating pieces of writing about our book, 'The Selfish Giant', we have been analysing why he was so selfish and what made him have a change of heart - having something consistently hanging over you (Winter in the story) can be demoralising and the children were able to see how things could be improved - by having fun and remembering what it feels like to be kind to each other.
In Art, we were continuing with our Ancient Egypt theme, we tore strips of coffee stained paper and glued them together to make our own version of papyrus. This was an exciting process and the results are amazing! We can't wait to draw our own designs on them!
We finished reading our other book, 'Zombierella' this week, and found out that she still lives happily ever after eventhough it is a twisted, dark version of the classic fairytale. It was great, gruesome and gory (Rule of three used by Joseph Coelho) :)
