Lower Junior 2 have had a fantastic and busy time this week! In English, we finished reading Escape from Pompeii and produced some amazing vivid descriptions of Mount Vesuvius erupting, using powerful vocabulary to bring the dramatic scenes to life. In Science, we investigated how shadows change depending on the time of day, making careful observations during our practical work. In RE, we explored two more of the Mysteries of Light and used drama to deepen our understanding of the story of Jesus’ baptism. In PE, the children played mini netball games to apply the skills they have been practising. Finally, in History, we stepped back into Roman times by creating a Roman wedge formation and following commands just like Roman soldiers!
