This week in LJ2 has been full of exciting learning across the curriculum.
In English, we began our new class text Escape from Pompeii, a historical fiction story. The children explored key writing features including possessive apostrophes and expanded noun phrases, before writing thoughtful letters of advice to the characters.
On Monday, we became birdwatchers for the day! As a class, we carefully observed our surroundings and were thrilled to spot a wide variety of different birds.
In RE, we learned about the Transfiguration. The children created beautiful illustrations of the story and explained the importance of light and its symbolism.
In Science, we investigated where shadows come from and how they are formed. Our History lesson sparked a very interesting debate as we discussed whether we would accept Roman rule or stand up and fight against it!
In Computing, the children explored word processors, focusing on Microsoft Word and experimenting with its different functions.
A very busy and enjoyable week of learning in LJ2!
