LJ2 have had a fantastic week of learning! In English, we finished our class book Leon and the Place Between and the children created their own dialogues using the features of direct speech—there were some wonderfully imaginative responses. In Maths, we have been working on estimating values on a number line up to 10,000, then using this to compare and order numbers with increasing confidence.

In Science, we explored how animals can be classified based on whether they have an exoskeleton, an endoskeleton, or no skeleton at all. The children were fascinated when looking closely at a snake’s skeleton! In RE, we learned about the story of Abraham and Isaac and explored the work of CAFOD. We reflected on the idea of injustice and discussed how we can support others in need. To put this into action, the children wrote thoughtful letters to Father Ephraim asking how our school community can help.

LJ2 have settled brilliantly into the new academic year and are showing real determination and enthusiasm in their learning. Keep up the excellent work, LJ2!
