WB 19th May
We have started looking at Shakespeare this week by reading Romeo and Juliet! Before discovering the key themes and understanding the story, we had to explore the characters and how they link to one another.
We have also been able to write an action scene based on the story.
In art, we have explored abstract art and how colours and shapes can convey a mood.
In RE, we have started our Pentecost topic by looking at the fact that the Holy Spirit is mentioned a lot in the Old Testament (long before it was gifted to the apostles). We also looked at the gifts of the Holy Spirit and what it gives to us.
Our 'Unheard Stories' finished with a research lesson about the impact and legacy of Lily Parr and Betty Snowball. We then decided who (out of the people we have studies) should be the face on a £10 note!
