WB 12th January
This week, UJ2 had a fantastic time exploring a range of exciting learning opportunities.
In Science, the children created their own models of the solar system and developed their understanding of the order of the planets, discussing both the heliocentric and geocentric models. They especially enjoyed working in teams, taking on the roles of different planets and orbiting the sun to bring their learning to life.
In Maths, Year 6 began to grasp the basics of algebra, learning how to find the unknown value in an expression.
In English, the children wrote an explanation text about how to look after The Lost Thing by Shaun Tan, using subordinating conjunctions and modal verbs to add detail and precision to their writing.
The week ended with another swimming session, providing a great way to finish a hardworking week.
Well done, UJ2 – keep up the excellent work!
