Learning and loving on our journey with Jesus

WB 10th November

Dear Parents and Carers,

I hope you are all well.

The children have had a busy week with lots of learning in and outside of the classroom.

Early on in the week we all went to the Roald Dahl museum and learnt all about how Roald wrote his many books. The children also participated in 2 different workshops that focussed on editing work and the life of Roald Dahl.

In Religious Education, the children all worked on individual prayers for Remembrance Day.  We discussed how important it is to remember those who have fought for our country in the various wars all around the world.

In Design and Technology the children looked at old and new technology and specifically wearable technology.  The children discussed the different forms of technology and analysed how use useful the technology are and were.

In Science, we looked at fossils and how they are formed.  This followed on from the work on rocks and soil formation.

This week was Friendship week and every morning the children completed mini learning activities that focussed on friendship .

In our Reading lessons, we are reading a book called Earth Shattering Events.  This book looks at natural disasters including earthquakes, wind related events and floods.

It has been an excellent week for the children full of enriching learning activities and events.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend.

Kind regards,

Mr Mackintosh
