Week beginning 19th May
This week we have really enjoyed reading and acting out Romeo and Juliet. We have rewritten the fight scene using dialogue to advance the action. We have planned a balanced argument to discuss: Who was to blame for Romeo and Juliet's deaths? The children have had some excellent ideas for who is to blame and we have explored these through a class debate. We will continue with this writing after half term.
In science, our topic is the circulatory system and we have modelled this using hoops and beanbags to help us explain how blood moves around our bodies. We have made links with the digestive system to explore how nutrients get from our mouths to our bloodstream.
In RE we have begun learning about Pentecost by exploring the symbolism of the dove.
