Friendship week
We wore odd socks to school to celebrate that we are all different but go together anyway. It was lots of fun, look at our feet!
We made friendship flowers by drawing around our handprints. We thought about how we could be a good friend and came up with ideas like sharing, smiling at others, being kind, including people in our playtime and helping each other. We wrote our ideas down onto our handprints and Miss Lilley arranged them into a bouquet to show that when we come together with all of our wonderful ideas, we are a friendly bunch!
English
This week we planned a party in English. We learnt about lists and wrote a guest list and a food list to make sure we were organised. On Friday, we then had a party in class! We invited our toys from home that were on our written guest list and had fun using adjectives to describe popcorn using our five senses.
Geography
We thought about what an aerial view of our classroom would look like and tried our best to draw in the tables, book corner, chairs and other furniture. We did a pretty good job of drawing a bird's eye view considering we are not birds.
Computing
Our new topic in computing is digital art. We had fun making mosaic pictures which we had to copy from a small grid. It reinforced our mouse skills from last term as we had to click each square carefully.
