Learning and loving on our journey with Jesus

WB 9th February

What a busy term it has been!

Well done UJ3 –

you have worked incredibly hard and achieved so much. When you look back through your books after half term, I think you’ll be amazed at just how much learning you have completed!

This week, we have:

  • Recounted an exciting escape in English and finished by writing thoughtful poems about freedom, making meaningful links to the past.
  • Travelled back to 1558 in History to investigate the life of Richard Lylly. By analysing his final inventory in Bromsgrove, we worked as historians to decide whether he was a nobleman or a peasant.
  • Showcased fantastic skills in Tag Rugby - weaving, bending and sprinting to the try line as we completed our final tags. The teamwork and determination have been phenomenal!
  • Explored the fascinating world of space in Science, working collaboratively to learn about satellites and space junk. We were amazed to discover just how important satellites are to life on Earth and how much debris is orbiting our planet.
  • Taken part in Children’s Mental Health Week, reflecting on where we belong and the different communities we are part of. We created thoughtful maps of ideas to support positive mental health - a wonderful way to think about ourselves and others.

You should all feel very proud of your efforts this term.

Wishing you a very happy half term - enjoy a well-earned rest, have fun, and come back ready for another exciting chapter of learning!
