WB 24th November
Week ending 28th November
Another busy week saw UJ3 completing their Autumn assessments and reviewing the answers to identify any gaps in their learning so far this year.
We had a visit from our RE Advisor, who joined us for our morning worship and our beautiful hymn singing of Lord of the Dance.
In Geography, we ventured to The Moor to conduct some fieldwork, exploring the human and physical geographical features found in Maidenhead. This will help us prepare to compare our local area with countries in the Alps.
Our Science experiment this week focused on insulation. We covered cardboard cups with a range of materials and tested how long it took for the boiling water inside to cool. Tables were drawn up, and we concluded that the most effective insulator was the tin foil, although the microfibre cloth was a close second.
In Dance, we had great fun learning to perform a sequence with others, eventually involving the whole class in a Scottish reel.
As we head into our last three weeks before the Christmas break, some children will be bringing home a Prayer Bag. This contains a small prayer book and some artefacts. Please take some time to look at these together, reflect on this time of year and the preparation for the Second Coming of the Lord. Children, please write a prayer in the book.
