Science

Some of our sweet peas have really shot up in the last week! We observed them carefully and documented their progress in our plant diaries.

This week our focus was germination so we looked at our comparative test plants. The one in the fridge with no warmth and the one with no water have not germinated at all. The one in the cupboard with no light has germinated and has grown a really long shoot (even if it is white without sunlight).

We discovered that seeds will not germinate if they are cold or if they are not given water.

History

We had a special VE Day history lesson where we learnt about the end of World War II in Europe. We then wrote down some facts we could remember before having our own celebrations.
