Another Fabulous Week in UJ2! 🌟

What another fabulous week we have had in UJ2! The children have worked incredibly hard and have continued to demonstrate enthusiasm, resilience and a fantastic attitude towards their learning.

In English, we started our new book, Leila and the Blue Fox. The children are beginning to get to know the characters and are developing a deeper understanding of their personalities, experiences and feelings. They produced some fabulous writing from Leila’s perspective, writing a letter to express her thoughts and emotions. It was wonderful to see the children using empathy and imagination to really put themselves in Leila’s shoes.

In RE, we learnt about Moses and the covenant with God. We explored the story of Moses and how he led the people of Israel towards a safer land. The children discussed the importance of faith, trust and promises and showed a great understanding of the story.

In Maths, Year 6 continued to develop their understanding of negative numbers and rounding integers. They worked hard to apply their mathematical knowledge and explain their reasoning.

In Science, we learnt about the life cycle of mammals. The children explored the different stages of a mammal’s life and developed their understanding of how mammals grow and change.

In Music, we learnt how to create our own melodies using Song Maker. The children were incredibly creative and came up with some fantastic pieces of music. It was wonderful to hear them experimenting with different notes, rhythms and melodies to create their own compositions.

A huge well done to everyone in UJ2 for your hard work this week! I am incredibly proud of the effort and enthusiasm you have shown. Keep up the amazing work, and I cannot wait to see all the wonderful things you will achieve next week! 🌟
