WB 2nd March
What a week! It was Book Week this week and the children had a fantastic time taking part in different activities throughout the week.
On Monday, they had an author visit from Mel Taylor-Bessent, and they loved listening to her and asking questions about how to become an author.
On Tuesday, they had a lovely time reading in the classroom in a cosy and comfortable reading environment.
On Wednesday, we shared beautiful moments reading to the younger children in Infants and Reception. The children loved sharing these special moments with the little ones.
On Thursday, everyone was very creative with their costumes, and the words they chose were fantastic and meaningful.
On Friday, they listened to David O'Connell talking about his journey as an author and his fantastic books.
They also started their DT project, making bridges using pasta. They loved working in teams to create strong and creative designs.
In science, we started learning about the circulatory system, where the children worked together to explain how the heart works and how blood flows through the body.
In RE, we learnt about Lent, and the children created beautiful posters showing what Lent represents to them.
Keep up the great work, UJ2!
