WB 23rd March
An amazing last week of the term!
In English, the children took part in a range of acting activities to practise their persuasive skills before writing a formal persuasive letter. They had the opportunity to be creative, producing some fantastic pieces of work.
In maths, Year 6 finished their statistics topic, learning about pie charts, the mean, and a range of ways to present and interpret data.
On Wednesday, we reflected on the Stations of the Cross, giving the children the opportunity to understand the sacrifices Jesus made for us. On Thursday, the last day of term, we visited the church to celebrate Easter together as a community, and the children were each given a chocolate egg to mark the occasion.
In science, we learned how to measure our heart rate, and the children enjoyed taking part in practical activities to test this.
As part of our eco week, the children planted tomato, lettuce, and carrot seeds in our eco garden, learning more about sustainability and how things grow.
Well done, UJ2! I wish you all a wonderful Easter filled with joy, rest, and happiness. I look forward to welcoming you back after Easter for another exciting and successful term of learning.
