WB 7th September

Lower Junior 2 has begun the new academic term by exploring the importance of rules and responsibilities in Years 3 and 4. As part of this work, the children have created a constellation of stars which will serve as a guiding framework for our learning and behaviour throughout the year.

In English, the class has been studying The Fox and the Star. Inspired by the text, pupils have created their own friendship recipes, written original stories and produced informative fact booklets about foxes. They have also explored a variety of constellations, developing both their research and writing skills.

In Mathematics, pupils have strengthened their understanding of multiplication through times tables activities and games. They have also been developing their knowledge of place value, focusing on two-digit and three-digit numbers.

In Religious Education, lessons have centred on the Story of Creation, with pupils exploring the belief that human beings are created in the image and likeness of God.
