Lower Juniors 2 have had a fantastic and busy week of learning!
In English, the children explored the mysterious and imaginative world of The Mysteries of Harris Burdick. Using the intriguing illustrations as inspiration, they wrote their own mystery stories. The children showed great creativity and enthusiasm, producing imaginative plots and characters.
The class also worked exceptionally hard to complete their maths and reading comprehension assessments. They demonstrated excellent focus and perseverance, and we are very proud of the effort they put into showing what they have learned.
As part of Science Week, the children investigated the question: Does the angle at which you throw a javelin affect the distance it travels? They practiced their javelin throwing skills, carefully collected their results, and used the data to write thoughtful conclusions about what they discovered.
In RE, we learned about the story of the Pharisee and the Tax Collector. This helped us reflect on humility and think about things we might want to say sorry to God for.
During DT, the children began designing their own castles. They drew their designs using 2D shapes and labelled the 3D shapes that will be used to create different features of their castles.
In Computing, the children continued developing their coding skills, using programming to creatively make images move and speak.
Well done to Lower Juniors 2 for such a hardworking and exciting week!
