It has been an excellent week for the children with lots of learning across all curriculum areas.

The children have worked really well in English this week, focusing on their projects for the BBC 500 words competition and the National Poetry competition. They have produced some very imaginative stories and some excellent poems.  We all thoroughly enjoyed the whole school poetry recital on Friday afternoon.

In History the focus is currently on how children's lives have changed through history and specifically the Tudor and Victorian periods.  This week we delved deeper into the Victorian period and how Lord Shaftesbury made a positive impact on the lives of children then and how this has helped the future generations.

The focus in Physical Education at the moment is developing teamwork skills in the team challenges unit.  The outdoor unit is focussing on peer feedback and technique development through foot golf.
