Some highlights of the week

RE - we focused on the sotry of The Good Samaritan this week to explore the Catholic Social Teaching keys of Common Good, Solidarity and Human Dignity.

English - we started a new text this week 'Tar Beach'.  This story is set in 1930s Harlem and explore issues of race, culture and music.  It has informed the use of some grammatical features of writing included modal verbs, expanded noun phrases and conjunctions.

Art - in art, the children tried to produce scaled up versions of their pre-historic drawings from last week using techniques around charcoal.

Spanish - the children learned to greet each other in SPanish and introduce themselves.

History - the children used sources this week to make deductions about children in Tudor, Roman and Victorian times
