WB 16th March
Week 4 – Spring Term 2
What a busy and exciting week it has been!
The children have worked incredibly hard across all areas of the curriculum. In English, they completed their persuasive letters, thoughtfully deciding whether the Three Little Pigs were guilty or not guilty - there were some fantastic arguments on both sides.
In Science, we explored the digestive system (with some memorable “blood smoothies” along the way!), and in DT, the children enjoyed designing and building their own truss bridges.
In RE, we learned about the message of breaking down social barriers through the scripture of Jesus and the Samaritan woman. The children reflected beautifully on how we can show these values in our everyday lives.
Cricket practice has continued in PE, with a strong focus on developing bowling skills. There has been excellent progress in accuracy - well done, UJ3! It’s great to see the children aiming confidently at the wicket and giving the batter a fair chance to play the ball.
Other activities this week have included preparing for the Stations of the Cross next week. The children have shown great enthusiasm through acting and learning the meaning behind the scriptures. We’ve also enjoyed some fantastic off-site opportunities, including Quidditch!
Have a lovely weekend, and fingers crossed the warm sunshine stays with us ☀️
