We have been looking at the properties of materials. We determined that a sheet of paper is not a very strong material to choose if we want to make a bridge however, we investigated ways in which we could make it stronger by folding it and experimented to see how many cubes each different way would hold.

Art

This week we looked at the ‘Maman’ spider sculpture (1999) by the artist Louise Bourgeois. We worked as a class to use the skills we've been learning to roll sheets of newspaper. Miss Lilley and Miss Hussain then helped us to make a spider. We can't wait to paint it next week!
