WB 17th November
Another great week for UJ2!
In Science, we investigated light intensity. The children used iPads to measure how strong the light was and were very excited to learn about different materials and how they are classified as opaque, translucent, or transparent.
In Geography, they learned about the physical and human features of the Alps. They also carried out research on Innsbruck in Austria and were amazed to discover facts about its population, climate, and how it differs from the UK.
In RE, we learned about the parables of the bridesmaids and the servants ( Matthew 25:1-13 and Luke 12: 35-44), and the children reflected thoughtfully on their meanings making strong connections to our Advent learning.
In Maths, Year 6 continued working on fractions, focusing on how to find a fraction of an amount. The children are making good progress and growing in confidence.
