WHAT IS PUPIL PREMIUM?

This is a grant given to schools by the government to help to narrow the attainment gap for disadvantage children, whether that be due to family upheaval or income. For each child who is eligible for free school meals (FSM) or who has claimed in the last 6 years (Ever6), the school receives money. This is not a personal budget for each individual eligible child; the school are able to spend the money on a wider group of children.
