Lent
Our final liturgy of the term was a whole school celebration of Maundy Thursday. We met together, re-enacted the Gospel readings for Maundy Thursday and sang hymns.
Our school choir also sang a beautiful song. It was the perfect start to the Easter celebrations.
During the season of Lent, the children were able to take home a class prayer bag to help with their prayers at home. The children could pray with family and friends and write their own prayers to share with the class in school.
Many of the children also received their own Lent activity books with tasks and prayers to complete during Lent

All the children were able to enjoy a special Lent Reconciliation service where we recognised our sins and sought forgiveness. We were also able to complete confession with the parish priests.
This year each class took responsibility for a station of the cross; which they illustrated. Then, the whole school experienced stations of the cross. At each station, members from each year group reminded us of Jesus' journey.
Year 6 re-enacted the Passion play, to remind us of the sacrifice God gave to us.
