Upper Juniors have started their new literacy book 'The Lost Thing' by Shaun Tan. They have created their own wonderful 'Lost Things'!

The Lost Thing

We have started reading 'Politics for Beginners' which has provided many themes for interesting and emotive discussions!

Our 'The Lost Thing' topic has enable us to practise letter writing and focus on clauses, subjunctive moods and imperatives.

We have just tried to use expanded noun phrases to describe our onw 'Lost Thing'. Having completed our descriptions, the class had to try and draw the 'creature' based on the description. The clearer the description, the easier this was!
