What a fantastic week we have had in Infant 1! The children have been busy exploring, discovering and learning through lots of hands-on experiences.
👃👅 Science – Exploring Our Senses
One of the highlights of our week was using our senses to explore different tastes! We became little scientists as we tasted a variety of foods and talked about what we could taste and how each food made us feel.
We bravely tasted a sour lemon – although we discovered that some of our friends actually loved the sour taste! 🍋 We also tasted cheese, crackers and raisins and talked about the different flavours and textures.
Through our Science lessons, we are learning about our five senses – sight, hearing, smell, taste and touch – and discovering how important they are in helping us explore and understand the world around us. We have enjoyed thinking about how we use our senses every day.
🏃 PE – Creating Our Own Games
In PE, we continued developing our skills through circuit activities. This week, we became game designers and had the exciting opportunity to create our very own games!
We used cones, hoops, rings and balls to design different activities and then had a go at playing the games we created. The children showed fantastic creativity, teamwork and enthusiasm as they worked together and took turns.
What a wonderful week of exploring, tasting, creating and learning! We are so proud of the enthusiasm and curiosity our Infant 1 children continue to show. 🌟
