To celebrate 80Years since VE day, the children learnt and sang a song to commemorate this significant day. We hope that you enjoy listening to part of it on this recording.

'At the core of Nothing But Good Words, our KS2 reading and writing club, is the creativity that is reflected in the nature of God, and the intricacies he created the world in, as shown in Genesis 1:1, 'In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth', and Genesis 1:27a 'so God created mankind in his own image'. The children showcased their creativity by immersing themselves in the joy of sharing their favourite books with their peers. They relished the chance at creating an exploding book, filled with their favourite stories, characters and authors. In addition to this, the children were able to craft concertina books, where they had the creative license to write their own stories in a genre of their choice. We had a range of books, including a look into the life of footballer, Zinedine Zidane by David Dumanic and a14-page book on 'Fun facts about animals' by Megan Nopal and Zoey Nash. Comics and exciting fiction stories were also a hit, with titles like "How to Live Forever" by Samarpan Chatterjee and "The Mysterious Teacher" by Tommy Alexandre.'
